What you'll do:

• Oversee multiple quality assurance teams responsible for end-to-end testing of Android and mobile products, ensuring all releases meet stringent quality benchmarks.
• Develop and implement comprehensive mobile quality engineering strategies encompassing functional, integration, compatibility, security, usability, and performance testing.
• Drive the adoption of advanced test automation frameworks and AI-driven testing methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy across all QA processes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, business leaders, and clients to align quality objectives with broader organisational goals.
• Present detailed engineering strategies, risk assessments, and progress updates to executive leadership teams in a clear and impactful manner.
• Manage budgets effectively by optimising resource allocation and cost structures while maintaining high standards of delivery.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives by refining processes, tools, and delivery models based on feedback loops and emerging best practices.

What you bring:

• Extensive experience spanning over ten years in software engineering roles with at least five years spent managing large teams or organisations within the technology sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in overseeing multiple QA teams or large-scale engineering groups focused on mobile platforms.
• Deep understanding of Android technologies coupled with hands-on experience implementing end-to-end quality assurance processes for mobile applications.
• Proven track record in establishing comprehensive mobile quality strategies covering functional testing as well as integration, compatibility, security, usability, and performance aspects.
• Strong background in driving long-term technology strategy including architecture design and roadmap planning for mobile QA functions.
• Experience championing innovative approaches such as AI-first methodologies and advanced test automation frameworks within complex environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, business leaders, clients, and executive stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical strategies and risk analyses at the executive level.
• Solid experience managing budgets efficiently while optimising resources for maximum productivity within QA operations.
• Background in Python-based testing environments combined with enterprise engineering experience; TOEIC score above 800 is highly desirable.
