[Global Core Tech] Data Manager

We are looking for a Data Team Lead to lead Data Engineers and build scalable data solutions for enterprise analytics and ML. This role combines people leadership and technical ownership, covering Data Lakehouse / Mesh architecture, data modeling, pipelines, governance, and platform optimization while partnering with business and product stakeholders.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers, driving both professional growth and technical excellence.
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into strategic data solutions.
• Define data models and guide the development of Data Lakehouse and Data Mesh architectures.
• Oversee the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of data solutions supporting analytics and ML applications.
• Establish best practices for data quality, integrity, security, governance, lineage, and metadata management.
• Drive continuous improvement across data architecture, engineering tooling, and operational excellence.
• Introduce modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development and advanced code review workflows.
• Balance long-term platform strategy with practical delivery and measurable business impact.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

• Strong Data Engineering background with hands-on expertise in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Flink, or Hadoop.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse / Data Lakehouse architectures, including technologies such as Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Hudi.
• Experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant ETL / ELT pipelines using Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or equivalent orchestration platforms.
• Strong cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Practical understanding of data modeling approaches such as dimensional modeling, 3NF, and Data Vault.
• Experience implementing Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Lineage, and Metadata Management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have: Docker / Kubernetes and exposure to MLOps.
