[AI Tech Start-Up] Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer – AI / Model Training to help build the data foundation behind production-grade AI models. Your core mission is to transform raw, messy data from customers and various sources into high-quality, training-ready datasets.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Clean, transform, and structure raw data into high-quality datasets for model training.
• Define and maintain data quality standards based on model performance and training requirements.
• Analyze how different data characteristics impact model performance and translate findings into data strategies.
• Generate and augment training datasets based on model requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Automate repetitive data preparation and processing tasks.
• Build trusted datasets for tracking model and business metrics.
• Support the development of data and model evaluation frameworks.
• Work closely with AI engineers and project stakeholders to define customer data requirements, including format, quality, and volume.
• Document reusable data workflows and SOPs to improve consistency across projects.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant data experience; internships, research, side projects, and academic projects are also considered.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, transformation, and cleansing.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and patience when working with messy or inconsistent datasets.
• Genuine curiosity about AI, model training, and evaluation.
• Ability to understand research papers and translate relevant methodologies into practical implementation is highly valued.
