A leading global technology-driven firm is seeking a Data Engineer and DevOps to join their team in Taiwan. This role works on high-performance digital solutions while shaping mission-critical data infrastructure, driving automation, and integrating AI into workflows.

Key responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer and DevOps Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining large-scale data operations while driving automation initiatives that enhance system reliability and efficiency.

• Oversee mission-critical data pipelines, proactively detecting real-time data quality and latency anomalies to ensure service stability
• Conduct in-depth root-cause analysis for incidents, implementing structured remediation and standardised processes to prevent recurrence
• Manage and optimise production databases, ensuring consistent performance, reliability, and effective monitoring
• Drive the evolution of CI/CD workflows, establishing scalable standards with automated testing, version control, and rollback mechanisms
• Maintain and enhance the containerised research environment, serving as the key point of contact for deployment issue resolution
• Support and ensure reliable operations across hybrid on-premise and cloud infrastructure
• Develop self-service capabilities and integrate AI-driven tools to automate monitoring, alerting, and incident response while reducing manual effort

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you will bring substantial experience working with large-scale data infrastructure in fast-paced environments where precision is paramount.

• Strong hands-on experience with large-scale data pipelines using Python, Shell, and schedulers (e.g., Airflow), alongside production database management, tuning, and monitoring
• Deep Linux expertise with the ability to deploy, optimise, and support services across hybrid on-prem and cloud environments, including containerised and highly available architectures
• Proven capability in designing and scaling CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Argo), with integrated observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows, combined with knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• High ownership mindset with strong problem-solving, cross-functional communication, and the ability to manage real-time systems, drive continuous improvement, and perform under pressure
