【Remote AI Startup】Senior Fullstack Engineer (Python+React)

A fast-growing AI-native technology company is expanding its engineering team in Taipei and is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to help scale its enterprise AI platform across Asia.

Role overview:

This role sits within the core platform team, working closely with global engineering counterparts to build and operate cloud-native systems that power industrial automation and smart infrastructure solutions. As one of the early senior hires in Taiwan, you will take ownership across backend systems, platform architecture, DevOps practices, and production reliability for AI-driven enterprise products.

Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for building and operating scalable cloud-native backend systems while ensuring platform reliability and production readiness for enterprise AI products.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI on GCP
• Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments, observability, and security controls
• Develop platform and product-facing features including admin dashboards, document processing pipelines, and API integrations
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and support enterprise customer onboarding and technical integration
• Drive system reliability, testing standards, monitoring, and production readiness for AI-powered systems

Candidate profile:

You are a senior engineer with strong backend expertise and experience building and operating production-grade distributed systems.

• 5+ years of backend or fullstack engineering experience with strong Python and FastAPI expertise
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, Firestore, Pub/Sub, IAM)
• Strong understanding of Docker, CI/CD, RESTful API design, and automated testing practices
• Experience operating production systems with high availability and zero-downtime deployment practices
• Business-level English and fluent Mandarin for cross-regional collaboration

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating LLMs or AI systems in production environments
• Exposure to industrial engineering, automation, semiconductor, or related domains
• Familiarity with cloud security, SOC 2, or enterprise compliance standards
• Experience with document processing systems or enterprise SaaS platforms
