A fast-growing semiconductor technology startup seeks an AI Application Engineer in Taiwan to transform IC design and verification through practical AI integration, accelerating development cycles and improving engineering efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive the adoption of mainstream AI tools and LLM applications across IC design, EDA, and design verification (DV) workflows to accelerate engineering delivery
• Partner with EDA, IC design, and DV engineering teams to identify workflow bottlenecks and define practical AI-enabled solutions
• Lead prompt engineering and workflow automation initiatives, applying commercial generative AI technologies to solve engineering challenges
• Optimise the use of shared computing infrastructure, software licences, and technical resources to maximise project efficiency
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing engineering processes, enabling scalable adoption and stronger cross-functional collaboration
• Champion emerging AI technologies and best practices, driving continuous innovation across engineering workflows

Candidate profile:

• Demonstrated interest in AI technologies through academic projects, internships, or professional experience, with a passion for exploring emerging AI applications
• Hands-on experience applying mainstream AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and GitHub Copilot, with knowledge of prompt engineering and workflow automation
• Exposure to semiconductor, IC design, EDA, or design verification (DV) environments is advantageous, with an Electrical Engineering or related technical background preferred
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate engineering challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to knowledge sharing in a fast-paced engineering environment
