A leading IC design company in Taiwan seeks an LLM Application Engineer to develop advanced AI applications, driving next-generation intelligent systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade LLM applications, RAG systems, and AI agent architectures that deliver scalable, business-critical AI solutions
• Build and optimise high-performance backend services and APIs using Python, FastAPI, and Linux, ensuring reliability, security, and seamless data integration
• Engineer end-to-end data pipelines by processing structured and unstructured data and implementing semantic search with vector embeddings using MongoDB or Elasticsearch
• Develop intelligent AI agents leveraging advanced LLM capabilities, including function calling and reasoning workflows, to enable automation and informed decision-making
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with business objectives while documenting best practices to support knowledge sharing, maintainability, and continuous improvement

Candidate profile:

• Proven experience deploying production-grade AI and LLM applications, delivering reliable, scalable solutions in real-world environments
• Advanced proficiency in Python, FastAPI, OpenAI SDK, and prompt engineering, with expertise in function calling, memory management, and LLM application development
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments, NoSQL databases (MongoDB or Elasticsearch), semantic search, vector embeddings, and backend infrastructure
• Strong capability in processing structured and unstructured data (JSON, SQL, CSV, PDFs, HTML, raw text) to support AI, RAG, and semantic search applications
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into effective business solutions
