Cybersecurity Team Lead / Penetration Testing Lead

A leading financial institution seeks a Cybersecurity Team Lead / Penetration Testing Lead in Taiwan to establish its Group Offensive Security function, enhancing enterprise cyber resilience and protecting critical business operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and lead the Group's Offensive Security and Penetration Testing function, defining its strategy, operating model, and long-term roadmap
  • Establish enterprise-wide penetration testing standards, governance, and quality frameworks across web, mobile, API, cloud, network, and infrastructure environments
  • Lead Red Team and Purple Team engagements to identify security gaps, validate defences, and strengthen cyber resilience
  • Deliver security assessments for critical systems and strategic initiatives, providing risk-based remediation recommendation
  • Drive continuous improvement by adopting emerging attack techniques, offensive security tools, automation, and industry best practices
  • Partner with DevSecOps teams to embed security testing into CI/CD pipelines and enhance secure software delivery
  • Collaborate with technology, security, and business stakeholders to strengthen the organisation's overall security posture

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • At least 8 years’ cybersecurity experience, including five years specialising in Offensive Security, Penetration Testing, or Red Team operations
  • Proven track record of building or leading Offensive Security functions within complex, large-scale, or multinational environments
  • Hands-on expertise conducting security assessments across web, API, mobile, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), network, and Active Directory environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern attack techniques, threat modelling, and industry frameworks, including OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, PTES, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls
  • Proficiency with leading offensive security tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, BloodHound, Nessus, Cobalt Strike (or equivalent), complemented by scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, or similar
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders; experience establishing an enterprise Offensive Security capability from the ground up will be highly regarded
