Product Manager, Make Up
A leading organisation is seeking a Makeup Product Manager. This role will be responsible for shaping product strategy and driving commercial success in the local market, acting as a key bridge between the global brand and Taiwan consumers.
Key responsibilities:
As Product Manager, Make Up, you will oversee the end-to-end management of an esteemed portfolio of imported makeup products.
- Own the product strategy and annual product roadmap for imported makeup categories within the local market
- Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, consumer insights, and price positioning to make strategic product recommendations
- Act as the primary liaison between global HQ/overseas brand teams and the local organisation, leading SKU selection, launch prioritisation for the Taiwan market, and consolidating local insights to inform global stakeholders
- Partner closely with Brand Marketing, Digital, E-commerce, and Sales teams to develop effective go-to-market and launch plans
- Define clear product positioning, key selling points, and communication priorities aligned with luxury brand standards
- Monitor post-launch performance by tracking sales results, inventory levels, and channel feedback, and proactively optimise the product portfolio
- Adapt product strategies by channel (e.g. department stores, specialty retail, e-commerce) to maximise performance
- Manage the product life cycle (PLC), including new product introductions, hero product maintenance, and phase-out recommendations
- Support annual forecasting, budgeting, and sales target planning while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and market readiness
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you will bring extensive experience in beauty or luxury goods product management along with strong analytical skills and a passion for makeup innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Beauty, or related field
- 5–8+ years’ experience in beauty, cosmetics, or luxury goods, with product/brand management exposure
- Proven track record managing imported brands or distributor portfolios
- Strong knowledge of product positioning, pricing, margins, and multi-channel dynamics
- Data-driven mindset with ability to translate market and sales insights into decisions
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills; fluent in English
- Passion for beauty with strong trend awareness; exposure to e-commerce, luxury brands, and Taiwan retail landscape is a plus
