What you'll do:

• Support Sales Engineers and Field Application Engineering teams by providing technical guidance on multiple cable backplane system programmes, ensuring optimal connector solutions are defined based on specific project requirements.
• Assist internal sales teams in developing effective strategies for introducing products into both existing and new accounts by leveraging your signal integrity and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Conduct comprehensive link simulations and evaluate potential topologies to ensure robust performance across various applications.
• Develop tailored signal integrity strategies addressing customer pinout configurations and routing challenges to meet demanding high-speed data transmission needs.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of signal integrity engineers as well as professionals from other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions across multiple divisions within the organisation.
• Share your expertise generously with colleagues while actively pursuing continuous improvement in engineering methods and workflow processes.
• Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate seamless integration of diverse products across different business units.
• Provide expert assistance in delivering solutions for customers operating in sectors ranging from mobile networks to storage systems, servers, routers, switches, transportation, and more.
• Design and evaluate advanced production test platforms aimed at supporting next-generation product development initiatives.
• Support production operations by ensuring rigorous standards of test and measurement excellence are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify root causes of signal integrity issues within PCB layouts and implement effective resolutions to maintain product reliability.
• Design, construct, and measure circuit boards used for verification purposes, applying advanced circuit theory principles and high-speed digital transmission techniques.

What you bring:

• Experience in component design as well as practical application of high-speed connectors within communications equipment environments is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in conducting signal integrity measurements using tools such as Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), Vector Network Analyser (VNA), pattern generators, error detectors or similar advanced measurement equipment is essential.
• Familiarity with industry-standard simulation and analysis software including Ansys HFSS & Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MatLab or Advanced Design System (ADS) is required for success in this position.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with both frequency-domain and time-domain characterisation of components/circuits along with a solid grasp of relevant test/calibration methodologies is expected.
• A strong foundation in circuit theory combined with expertise in high-speed digital transmission principles is necessary for effective problem-solving within this role.
• Ability to apply advanced PCB layout principles specifically tailored for high-speed digital design challenges will set you apart as an ideal candidate.
