As a Business Development Manager based in Taipei, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation’s presence in the logistics sector.   • Develop and implement effective sales strategies designed to achieve ambitious targets and expand the customer base within the logistics sector.
  • Identify and engage potential customers through thorough market research, networking initiatives, and proactive outreach such as cold calling.
  • Pursue new business opportunities with both small-to-medium enterprises for short-term wins and larger clients for long-term partnerships.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers across various industries including vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure lasting collaborations.
  • Understand each customer's unique transportation and logistics requirements to develop customised solutions that address their specific needs.
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation through to closing deals, consistently aiming to exceed set targets.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and responses to requests for quotations (RFQs), ensuring all proposals align with customer expectations after close consultation with operations teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activities using the CRM system to ensure transparency and effective follow-up.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as operations, customer service, and marketing to guarantee seamless execution of services and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify emerging business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

What you bring:

To excel as a Business Development Manager in this role, you bring a wealth of experience from previous positions within business development or sales—ideally gained in logistics or related sectors. Your educational background equips you with foundational knowledge while your hands-on experience demonstrates your ability to deliver results under pressure. You possess excellent interpersonal skills that foster trustful connections with clients from varied backgrounds. Your bilingual proficiency enables smooth communication across local and international markets.   • A deep understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management principles enables you to offer insightful solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect for new clients, negotiate effectively at all stages of the sales process, and close deals efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—in English and Chinese allow you to connect with diverse stakeholders across multiple markets.
  • Strong presentation abilities help you convey complex information clearly during meetings or pitches with potential clients.
  • Outstanding organisational skills enable you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook supports your daily reporting and proposal preparation tasks.
  • Experience using CRM systems ensures accurate tracking of sales activities and enhances overall efficiency in managing client pipelines.
