A leading global display solutions provider is seeking an Account Manager to join their Taipei team, focusing on B2B client relationships within the display glass industry.

What you'll do:

As an Account Manager – Display Solutions (B2B), you will play a pivotal role in nurturing long-term partnerships with key clients across the display glass sector. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing complex orders from inception through fulfilment while ensuring every detail aligns with both client expectations and organisational standards. You will be responsible for developing tailored strategies that drive mutual success—identifying new business opportunities, coordinating cross-functional resources for unified service delivery, and customising presentations to address specific technical requirements. By maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders at all levels—including executive leadership—you will help shape the future direction of these critical accounts. Your ability to gather market insights will directly influence product development initiatives as well as short- and long-term sales forecasts. Success in this role means consistently exceeding client expectations while contributing positively to the organisation’s reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.

  • Manage, retain, and expand key accounts within a defined geographic or industry segment by understanding customer needs and aligning solutions accordingly.
  • Execute order specifications accurately in both internal and customer systems, ensuring all pricing, payment terms, quotations, shipping arrangements, and contractual obligations are met according to company standards.
  • Develop and implement multi-year strategies that enhance value for customers while maximising account impact through relationship building, opportunity identification, and collaborative partnership efforts.
  • Engage executive leadership in strategic customer visits when appropriate to strengthen credibility and deepen partnerships.
  • Maintain frequent communication with clients to assess satisfaction levels, identify new opportunities for collaboration, and ensure long-term retention.
  • Serve as an advocate for both the company and the customer by balancing mutual interests and creating shared value through thoughtful negotiation and transparent communication.
  • Stay informed about evolving customer requirements and market trends to proactively pursue profitable sales opportunities for current or next-generation products.
  • Work closely with Pricing, Product Line Management, Engineering, Technical Management, and other cross-functional teams to negotiate agreements that benefit all parties involved.
  • Clarify contract terms proactively with customers to align expectations with operational capabilities and ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Collect market intelligence on competitors and industry developments to inform sales planning processes at both account and division levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering-related disciplines such as mechanical engineering or industrial technology is required for this position.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in account management or project management within a technical or industrial setting is essential.
  • Fluency in English across listening, speaking, reading, and writing is mandatory due to frequent international interactions; proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in project cost/quality/risk management as well as time/progress control ensures effective execution of complex projects.
  • Proven skills in proposal preparation, presentation delivery, customer intelligence gathering, complaint handling, product introduction, and solution-based selling are highly valued.
  • Experience developing strategies based on data analysis is preferred; familiarity with LCD or related industries will be considered a significant asset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments such as pricing strategy teams, product line managers, engineering groups, technical support staff, and customer service representatives is crucial for success.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enable you to build trust-based relationships with clients while advocating for their needs within the organisation.
  • A track record of adapting quickly to changing market conditions by modifying account plans demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness.
