Country Manager, Fashion & EC
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Country Manager to lead the launch and growth of a globally recognised fashion and e-commerce platform in Taiwan.
As the founding leader, you will oversee market entry, operational setup, retail expansion, and team development while partnering closely with global headquarters. This role offers the chance to shape a high-growth business, drive long-term brand success, and make a significant impact on Taiwan’s fashion retail landscape.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment of the Taiwan business, including legal entity setup, office establishment in Taipei, and recruitment of core teams across Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising
- Build and optimise supply chain and logistics operations by managing vendor selection, 3PL partnerships, freight forwarding, import processes, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee the implementation and localisation of key operational systems, including ERP and Retail POS platforms, while establishing a high-quality customer service framework
- Drive retail and e-commerce expansion by negotiating partnerships with major department stores, securing flagship retail locations, and evaluating marketplace opportunities aligned with business strategy
- Manage the end-to-end Taiwan market launch, including project planning, milestone tracking, store construction, visual merchandising, and launch execution
- Develop merchandising and marketing strategies by managing OTB budgets, assortment planning, inventory cycles, marketing investments, and brand-building initiatives
- Ensure compliance with local labour, tax, and regulatory requirements while fostering a strong organisational culture, implementing HR frameworks, and managing retail performance and incentive programs
- Own the Taiwan business's financial performance through P&L management, budgeting, business planning, profitability improvement, and close collaboration with headquarters to execute growth strategies and operational objectives
Candidate profile:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in fashion retail, project management, business development, market entry, or country-launch leadership roles
- Fluent in Traditional Chinese and English, with Korean language skills considered an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan’s retail landscape with established networks across major department stores and retail partners
- Proven expertise in ERP implementation, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) methodologies, and large-scale project execution
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders, drive business growth, and lead high-performing teams across multiple functions
