Retail Development Manager, Luxury

A luxury retail organisation in Taiwan seeks a Retail Development Manager to transform and expand its premium retail footprint by securing prime locations and optimising commercial deals, driving revenue growth and elevating brand presence across Taiwan.

Key responsibilities:

As Retail Development Manager, you will support the expansion of the luxury retail footprint by identifying sites, negotiating leases, and coordinating new store development with internal teams.

• Conduct in-depth market analysis (demographics, footfall, competition, purchasing power, trends) to identify strategic luxury retail locations and guide expansion decisions
• Partner with brand managers to develop and execute short- and long-term retail expansion plans aligned with business growth objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and real estate partners to support negotiations and secure favourable commercial terms
• Evaluate potential sites to ensure alignment with brand positioning, customer experience standards, and operational requirements
• Lead lease negotiations with legal teams, ensuring accurate documentation, effective lease management, and timely renewals
• Prepare detailed location proposals and deliver regular market intelligence reports to support strategic decision-making at senior level
• Coordinate cross-functional store rollouts and renovations with design, operations, HQ, and regional teams to ensure seamless execution and brand consistency

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring experience in retail development or leasing in multinational environments, strong project coordination and communication skills, and a collaborative, customer-focused approach suited to luxury retail.

• At least 8 years' experience in retail development or commercial leasing within multinational environments, supported by a degree or higher
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written) to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across markets
• Experience operating in fast-paced, structured multinational or luxury retail environments with cross-functional exposure
• Strong organisational, analytical, and coordination skills with the ability to manage complex documentation and multiple priorities
• Collaborative, customer-focused, and detail-oriented mindset with integrity, adaptability, and strong interpersonal abilities suited to luxury retail environments
