Head of Business Development
A leading global industrial solutions provider is seeking a Head of Business Development Manager to join their thriving team in New Taipei.
Key responsibilities:
As Head of Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial direction of the organisation.
- Develop annual and quarterly sales plans and budgets that translate organisational objectives into actionable strategies aimed at achieving ambitious revenue, growth, and gross profit targets
- Build up and manage a robust sales pipeline using a potential-oriented approach while continuously monitoring performance metrics to ensure consistent achievement of targets
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate members of the sales team to elevate their professional capabilities and overall performance within a collaborative environment
- Lead efforts to expand and strengthen relationships with existing key accounts while driving the acquisition of new strategic clients to broaden the business scope
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including logistics, purchasing, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure client needs are met efficiently and economically
- Design and implement up-selling and cross-selling initiatives that maximise market share as well as profitability for both customers and the organisation
- Prepare detailed reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives for sharing with internal teams, stakeholders, and use in future case studies or training sessions
- Maintain compliance with 6S principles as well as ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards to uphold operational excellence across all activities
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the organisation as required to support broader business objectives
Candidate profile:
Your proven track record in industrial sales management equips you perfectly for the Head of Business Development Manager position.
- Over ten years of successful sales experience within comparable industrial sectors supported by tertiary education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree), including at least three years in a sales management capacity
- Outstanding business acumen demonstrated through effective planning, resource allocation, and market analysis skills relevant to complex B2B environments
- Exceptional communication abilities encompassing presentation delivery, persuasive selling techniques, negotiation prowess, and active listening skills tailored for diverse audiences
- Proficiency in MS Office applications alongside practical experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems for streamlined workflow management
- Fluency in English enabling seamless interaction with international clients and internal stakeholders alike
- Advanced analytical skills paired with meticulous attention to detail; proven capability in managing multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines
- A collaborative spirit that thrives within team settings—valuing shared success over individual recognition—and consistently supporting colleagues’ development
- Self-motivation combined with patience, responsibility, reliability, empathy towards others’ perspectives, and an unwavering commitment to ethical conduct
- Familiarity with C part products such as fasteners or MRO consumables is highly advantageous but not essential for success in this role
- Experience or understanding of JIT logistics solutions (e.g., Kanban) or basic engineering concepts would be considered beneficial additions
