Legal Director

A leading global industrial technology company seeks a Legal Director in Taiwan to lead global legal strategy, strengthen governance and compliance, and enable sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the global legal strategy, aligning legal priorities with business objectives to enable sustainable growth, governance, and executive decision-making
• Oversee enterprise legal risk, compliance, and corporate governance across international trade, intellectual property, data privacy, antitrust, and product liability
• Partner with the Board, executive leadership, and global business teams to provide strategic legal counsel on commercial, supply chain, and corporate initiatives
• Lead complex commercial negotiations, litigation, and dispute resolution, protecting the organisation's interests while enabling business growth
• Build and lead a high-performing global legal team, driving legal excellence, standardising governance frameworks, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

Candidate profile:

• 15+ years' legal experience, including 8+ years in legal leadership within multinational corporations, high-tech manufacturing companies, or top-tier law firms
• Qualified with a Juris Doctor (JD), active practising certificate, or equivalent internationally recognised legal qualification
• Extensive expertise in commercial, manufacturing, technology, supply chain, and corporate law, with strong knowledge of global regulatory and compliance frameworks
• Proven track record in enterprise risk management, commercial negotiations, litigation, corporate governance, and cross-border legal advisory within multinational environments
• Fluent in Chinese and English, with exceptional executive stakeholder management, strategic advisory, leadership, and crisis management skills
