• Develop and implement platform unique firmware features for high-end products by guiding project managers and engineers through each stage of the process.
• Lead your team in close collaboration with worldwide core firmware, hardware, thermal, power, I/O, and product assurance groups to ensure production firmware is delivered on schedule and meets quality standards.
• Manage small engineering groups focused on firmware infrastructure, sustaining activities, and customer support initiatives to maintain operational excellence.
• Attract, develop, and retain highly skilled project managers and firmware development engineers by nurturing talent within your team.
• Foster a culture of cooperation and knowledge sharing between cross-functional teams to drive innovation in firmware development.
• Oversee the planning and execution of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders from procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering disciplines.
• Ensure effective communication between technical teams and leadership by preparing clear presentations and updates for both internal and external audiences.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for process optimisation within firmware development workflows.
• Champion best practices in quality assurance to guarantee reliable performance across all server platforms.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business management, computer science or equivalent experience is required for this position.

• A minimum of eight years’ experience in programme or project management with a proven track record of delivering solid products is essential.
• Direct management experience within a development organisation spanning at least three years is preferred for this role.
• Knowledge of product development processes including procurement, supply chain operations, and manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple organisations using strong inter-personal skills is crucial for success.
• Excellent communication abilities are needed when presenting information to customers or leadership teams both internally and externally.
