Application Development Engineer (ME)

• Engage closely with customers to understand their application needs and guide them in selecting the most suitable cable solutions from the portfolio.
• Provide considerate technical guidance on product selection, system architecture, and integration best practices while maintaining optimal cable performance.
• Share lessons learned by highlighting potential problem areas and best practices during customer interactions.
• Design mechanical configurations for custom cable assemblies using detailed engineering drawings that meet customer specifications.
• Develop and validate mockup systems with prototype cables to demonstrate ideal architecture and ensure seamless integration.
• Assist customers in architecting compute trays for optimal hardware layout and efficient cable routing within their systems.
• Create cable management systems that guarantee proper routing and sustained performance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop practical tools for cable installation and removal to support ease of use and maintenance.
• Offer onsite technical support at customer and ODM locations during early build phases, ensuring smooth implementation of products.
• Conduct technical presentations and training sessions to coach customers on correct product usage, fostering knowledge sharing across teams.
• Provide technical support to sales and marketing personnel through training, presentations, and customer visits.
• Stay abreast of technological developments in the connector and interconnection industries to maintain industry-leading expertise.
• Apply patent requests when applicable to protect intellectual property developed during projects.
• Participate in multiple weekly conference calls with customers, ODMs, and internal teams throughout the development process, ensuring clear communication and timely progress updates.
• Manage 10-12 concurrent projects simultaneously, providing dependable support and execution across all stages of development.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams from other divisions to develop interconnect product initiatives that deliver comprehensive solutions for customers.
