What you'll do:

• You will take responsibility for the end-to-end development and maintenance of NOS/BMC software related to Tor Switches, ensuring optimal system functionality and stability.
• You will design and implement OpenBMC (Yocto) firmware functions including system management features, hardware monitoring tools, and seamless platform integration.
• You will develop remote management capabilities using IPMI/Redfish protocols while monitoring sensors, thermal management systems, and PMBus power supplies for enhanced operational efficiency.
• You will manage ONIE porting processes, oversee NOS installation procedures, handle U-Boot/GRUB booting operations, and ensure reliable flash partitioning and recovery mechanisms.
• You will integrate low-level interfaces and drivers such as I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART, and NC-SI into the system architecture for robust hardware communication.
• You will collaborate closely with hardware (HW), electrical engineering (EE), and mechanical engineering (ME) teams during board setup phases, system verification activities, and problem analysis sessions.
• You will assist with product implementation throughout the entire lifecycle from initial development through mass production while continuously optimising system performance and stability.

What you bring:

• You bring at least five years of experience in Embedded Linux or Firmware development with deep familiarity in OpenBMC, Yocto environments, and ASPEED BMC platforms.
• You possess hands-on expertise in ONIE porting processes, NOS installation procedures, U-Boot/GRUB boot operations, as well as comprehensive knowledge of Linux system architecture.
• Your background includes developing management protocols like IPMI and Redfish along with proven skills in integrating low-level interfaces such as I²C, PMBus, SPI, GPIO, and NC-SI.
• You are proficient in programming languages including C/C++, Python or Shell Script; your dependable analytical abilities enable you to independently debug issues and conduct root cause analysis.
• You have experience working within network product development environments; familiarity with SONiC, SAI or OCP ecosystems or Marvell/Broadcom Switch Platform development is considered advantageous.
• Experience with Secure Boot technologies, TPM 2.0 implementations, Root-of-Trust concepts or secure firmware update mechanisms is highly valued.
• Your circuit diagram reading ability combined with hardware/software collaborative debugging experience ensures effective troubleshooting across complex systems.
• Your excellent cross-departmental communication skills allow you to coordinate efficiently between engineering teams for successful project outcomes.
