BU Director – Medical Devices

A leading multinational healthcare organisation is seeking a Business Unit Director (Medical Devices) in Taiwan to oversee local operations, develop commercial strategies, and drive sustainable growth.

This is a business-critical leadership role with full responsibility for the local business, including P&L ownership, commercial strategy, portfolio development, and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional commercial teams and work closely with regional and local stakeholders to strengthen market performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and execute the local business and commercial strategy
• Take full ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance
• Lead and develop sales, marketing, and commercial capability teams
• Drive portfolio strategy, market development, and business growth
• Build strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and professional communities
• Monitor business performance and translate market insights into effective action plans
• Collaborate closely with regional and local cross-functional teams

Candidate profile:

• 12+ years’ progressive sales and marketing experience within the healthcare industry
• Substantial experience in senior commercial leadership roles
• Strong P&L management and strategic business-planning capabilities
• Proven success in leading and developing sizeable commercial teams
• Solid experience managing a broad product portfolio
• Strong customer engagement and key-account management capabilities
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• Business-level English proficiency
