What would you do:

As a Senior Ground Control Station Software Engineer, you will be responsible for planning the software architecture for UAV ground stations, assisting with module division of labor and driving system integration. Your work covers everything from requirements analysis to design, then to programming and testing, with every step carefully considering mission requirements and user workflows. You will design an autonomous flight mission management system, define various data streams and communication interfaces, and integrate multiple functional modules such as map display, telemetry monitoring, and video streaming. Cross-departmental collaboration is a daily routine; you will work closely with flight control, AI, and payload teams to complete system integration and participate in various testing and validation. Through Code Review and Debugging processes, you will continuously improve software quality while sharing technical experience within the team to jointly drive project success

  • Plan the software architecture for fixed-wing UAV ground stations and assist module division of labor to ensure efficient system operation.
  • Customize functions and integrate systems based on QGroundControl to enhance operational workflows and user experience.
  • Translate actual mission requirements into software functions, operational workflows, and system interfaces to ensure smooth mission execution.
  • Design autonomous flight missions, including route planning, mission execution, pause, abortion, return, recovery, and mission status management.
  • Define data flows and interfaces for ground stations and systems such as flight control, payload, AI, and data links, promoting cross-system collaboration.
  • Plan and integrate communication interfaces such as MAVLink, API, ICD, and custom messaging to ensure real-time and accurate information transmission.
  • Design functional modules for Mission Planning, mapping, telemetry, vehicle health monitoring, alarms, payload control, video streaming, logging/playback, and more.
