A leading organisation in Taipei is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee local IT operations and drive technology support across the business. What you'll do:

• Oversee daily IT operations to ensure business-critical systems and applications remain stable and available for all users across the organisation.
• Manage and resolve IT incidents, service requests, and operational issues promptly by working closely with internal users and external service providers.
• Provide technical guidance and support for hardware, software, systems, and end-user IT requirements while maintaining robust backup, network access, and data security practices.
• Support onboarding activities by preparing IT equipment and systems for new employees and conducting training sessions to facilitate smooth integration.
• Partner with business functions to understand operational requirements and translate them into practical IT solutions that enhance workflow efficiency.
• Conduct business analysis to evaluate the feasibility of new systems or enhancements and identify opportunities for process improvement within existing workflows.
• Lead or support local IT projects from planning through implementation while coordinating with regional/global IT teams on technology rollouts and system changes.
• Ensure compliance with company, regional, and global IT policies by monitoring controls related to data protection, network access, backup, and information security.
• Prepare and manage the annual IT CAPEX plan by supporting procurement activities, evaluating technology requirements, obtaining quotations from vendors, and monitoring vendor performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local IT team by setting priorities, allocating resources according to business needs, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing ongoing feedback.

What you bring:

• 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role within a multinational organisation is essential for success in this position.
• Proven track record in managing IT operations including technical support and service management across diverse environments.
• Solid project management experience demonstrated by effective coordination between business units and technical teams on complex initiatives.
• Practical experience working with ERP systems is required; familiarity with retail-related technologies such as POS and eCommerce platforms is highly preferred.
• Experience collaborating with regional or global IT organisations adds significant value to your candidacy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors and service providers effectively while ensuring high standards of delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving abilities combined with analytical thinking enable you to address challenges proactively.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills allow you to build trustful relationships across functional teams while facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent written and spoken English as well as Chinese are necessary for effective communication within this multinational context.
