System Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable System Engineer to join their team in Taipei. This role will involve planning, designing, and maintaining application servers on Physical servers, Private Cloud, and Public Cloud to provide worldwide 24x7 services. You will also cooperate with software developers to deploy, monitor performance, and troubleshoot Cloud applications.

What you'll do:

As a System Engineer, your primary role will be to ensure the smooth running of our client's application servers across various platforms. You'll work closely with software developers to deploy and monitor cloud applications while troubleshooting any issues that arise. Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of the application environment. Your expertise in Linux Server, Windows Server, Kubernetes (K8s), Nginx among others will be crucial in this role. You'll also provide second-level technical support ensuring service continuity.

• Plan, design, and maintain application servers on Physical servers, Private Cloud, and Public Cloud.
• Cooperate with software developers to deploy, monitor performance, and troubleshoot Cloud applications.
• Maintain infrastructure of application environment such as GCP, K8s and Containers, AD, DNS, SMTP, Proxy, Load balancer, NTP, Linux Server, IaC tools, automation tools.
• Provide telephone/remote and on-site 2nd level technical support for service continuity.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the System Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in managing both Linux and Windows Servers. Your familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s), Nginx and HAproxy will be essential in this role. Experience with Prometheus and Grafana is highly desirable. Your knowledge of Terraform and Hypervisor will set you apart from other candidates. Lastly, your experience with Ansible and Jenkins will be beneficial in this role.
