[外商] Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (Hybrid)

Keywords: Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Control, Audit, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Management, Supplier Evaluation and Selection Our client is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will oversee and engage with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and partners across Asia, verifying incoming and in-process material meets the company's drawings and specifications.

What you'll do:

• Work with CMs to audit and assess production line and quality system readiness for production.
• Lead real-time Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities with CMs and Asia supplier.
• Facilitate real-time communication and collaboration with suppliers for quicker issue resolution.
• Perform on-site quality inspections, audits, and maintain control plans.
• Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
• Work closely with suppliers to help them improve their manufacturing processes.
• Identify potential risks related to the supply chain, monitor supplier performance, and take preventive measures.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting new suppliers based on their capabilities, quality systems, and performance history.
• Work with 3rd party auditors in developing Incoming Quality Control (IQC), inspection protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support change control as needed.

What you bring:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years experience in manufacturing and test for consumer and handheld device.
• Good knowledge of PCBA process.
• Familiarity with Final Assembly Test Process (FATP), including lamination, system assembly, function testing and packaging.
• Experience with new product introduction and manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of quality methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in quality tools: Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 8 Disciplines of Problem Solving (8D), and Root Cause Analysis.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949, or equivalent quality management systems.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and measurement systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Working level knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and problem solving.
• Ability to travel to supplier locations as needed (domestic and/or international).
• Excellent team player, ability to take initiative, and result and detail oriented.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
