TW+HK FP&A Manager

A multinational trading organisation seeks a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in Taiwan to drive financial strategy across Taiwan and Hong Kong, optimising operations and supporting sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities:

As the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will lead financial strategy and governance across Taiwan and Hong Kong, driving profitability, commercial performance, and business growth through strategic insights and process improvements.

• Lead the Finance workstream in establishing and scaling operations across Taiwan and Hong Kong, ensuring robust financial processes and regional best practices
• Own P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and Risks & Opportunities processes, providing financial oversight and independent challenge to drive profitability and margin improvement
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Controllership to align commercial strategies with financial outcomes and measurable business results
• Establish financial governance frameworks for pricing, trade investments, promotional effectiveness, and portfolio profitability, including pricing simulations and scenario analysis for price changes, product launches, distributor margins, and promotions
• Conduct customer, channel, and SKU profitability analysis to support pricing, assortment, and portfolio decisions; support contract negotiations covering rebates, payment terms, logistics reimbursements, and customer profitability
• Oversee distributor performance, sell-in/sell-out activities, inventory health, working capital, and credit utilisation, while leading monthly business reviews and Finance systems improvements across ERP, EPM, Power BI or equivalent platforms to enhance reporting and forecasting processes

Candidate profile:

• Minimum 8 years’ relevant Finance or Accounting experience within Consumer Goods, FMCG, Retail, or fast-paced commercial environments
• Proven experience supporting distributor markets or indirect go-to-market models, including establishing finance processes in growing or start-up settings
• Strong commercial finance expertise in pricing strategy, trade investment evaluation, profitability analysis, customer/distributor negotiations, pricing simulations, investment business cases, and scenario modelling
• Deep understanding of inventory management, working capital optimisation, credit management, and cash flow forecasting
• Strong business acumen, financial expertise, and commercial judgement, with the ability to influence senior leadership, constructively challenge stakeholders, and collaborate across multifunctional teams
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills, with hands-on ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), EPM tools or Power BI preferred; excellent communication, adaptability, strategic thinking, operational agility, and attention to detail
