Business Controller Lead

A leading medical device manufacturing firm seeks a Business Controller Lead in Taiwan to drive strategic financial planning, optimise business performance, and enhance profitability through data-driven insights.

Key responsibilities:

As a Business Controller Lead, you will oversee financial planning and performance to drive strategic decisions, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Analyse financial data, prepare management reports, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Monitor financial performance, analyse budget variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimise business results
• Partner with business units to guide investments, pricing, resource allocation, and performance management through KPIs
• Drive cost control, regulatory compliance, internal controls, audit support, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial accuracy

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required; Master's degree preferred for advancement
• Several years of progressive finance or accounting experience with increasing responsibility in financial planning and analysis
• Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, financial modelling, advanced Excel, and scenario analysis
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and Business Intelligence (BI) tools is highly desirable
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, business acumen, and strategic thinking skills to support investments, pricing, and resource allocation
• Proven cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines; team leadership experience demonstrating growth potential in an inclusive environment
