FAE- Digital Power

About the Company Our client is a global semiconductor company providing a broad portfolio of electronic components and engineering solutions for a variety of applications. They are looking for a Digital Power Field Application Engineer to work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal technical departments to support product design-in, solve engineering challenges, and identify new business opportunities. This role combines hands-on engineering support with customer engagement, technical presentations, and collaboration across commercial and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales teams and internal business units to identify design opportunities and promote suitable digital power solutions through technical demonstrations and presentations.

• Provide engineering support for customer hardware and software development projects, addressing technical requirements throughout the design and validation process.

• Adapt existing reference designs to meet specific customer application requirements.

• Conduct schematic and PCB layout reviews, as well as hardware- and system-level design assessments.

• Deliver technical presentations and training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams.

• Track business opportunities, design-win progress, and revenue performance against established targets.

• Support product promotion and business development activities across relevant product portfolios, with a focus on digital power applications.

• Gather market intelligence, evaluate competing solutions, and identify emerging technology trends and customer requirements.

• Coordinate with internal business units and distribution partners to facilitate technical support and project execution.

• Visit customer sites across the region as required to provide hands-on engineering support and strengthen customer relationships.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in digital power design, power applications, or a related engineering role.

• Strong understanding of power electronics and MCU/DSP-based digital power control.

• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, AC/DC power sources, and electronic loads.

• Ability to review schematics and PCB layouts, troubleshoot hardware issues, and validate power designs.

• Good command of English, including speaking, reading, and writing.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, internal business units, and distributors.

• Customer-facing experience in technical support, application engineering, or design-in activities is highly desirable.

• Willingness to travel within Greater China to support customer projects when required.

• Knowledge of 5G/RF technologies or motor control is an advantage.
