FAE- Storage Solutions

About the Company Our client is a global technology company providing advanced semiconductor and storage-related solutions. They are looking for a Field Application Engineer to support customers in Taiwan, working closely with engineering and business teams to deliver technical solutions, resolve system-level issues, and support successful product design-ins. This role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on hardware experience and a strong understanding of storage technologies who enjoys working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable storage solutions to support product design-in opportunities.

• Provide technical support throughout the design-in and qualification process, addressing customer questions and resolving engineering issues.

• Perform initial failure analysis, hardware debugging, and troubleshooting for storage-related applications.

• Track technical issues, investigation progress, and resolutions using issue management tools such as JIRA.

• Serve as a technical point of contact for customers, coordinating with internal engineering teams to resolve complex issues.

• Conduct regular customer meetings to understand technical requirements, provide updates, and strengthen working relationships.

• Collaborate with regional and global teams to communicate customer feedback, technical challenges, and product requirements.

• Support customers with system architecture, storage interfaces, testing methodologies, and hardware integration.

• Maintain technical documentation and share troubleshooting knowledge and best practices with internal teams.

• Contribute to continuous improvement in customer support processes and technical knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in field applications, hardware engineering, storage solutions, or a related technical role.

• Hands-on experience with NAND Flash technology, SSDs, or storage-related products.

• Experience with PC or server hardware, system architecture, hardware testing, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with storage interfaces and protocols, such as SATA/SAS, PCIe, and NVMe.

• Ability to use laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes and logic analysers, for hardware debugging and validation.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Experience tracking technical issues and documenting investigation results and resolutions.

• Good command of English for communication with international teams.

• Korean language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
