Design Engineer- MOSFET

A leading semiconductor company is seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in Power MOSFET development—covering both Silicon and Silicon Carbide (SiC) technologies. This role is critical for driving innovation in high-performance power devices, spanning applications from consumer to automotive and industrial markets. You will lead device-level design and simulation, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, and guide new products from concept to mass production.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Silicon and/or SiC-based Power MOSFETs across various voltage ranges.

• Conduct TCAD and SPICE simulations to evaluate device characteristics and performance trade-offs.

• Use layout design and verification tools to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.

• Work closely with process integration, layout, product, and reliability teams to enable tape-out and mass production.

• Prepare design reports, technical documentation, and present updates in project review meetings.

• Provide technical input for customer-related support and inquiries.

✅ Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in Power MOSFET or discrete device design.

• Hands-on experience with TCAD tools such as Synopsys Sentaurus or Silvaco Atlas.

🌟 Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Trench, Planar, or Shielded Gate Trench (SGT) MOSFET structures and ESD protection designs.

• Experience in ramp-up for mass production or supporting foundry-based projects.

• Knowledge of automotive-grade or industrial-grade reliability requirements.

• Exposure to SPICE modeling and finite element analysis tools (e.g., COMSOL, Ansys).
