Vice President, Global Category Management – Electronics

A leading global manufacturing organisation seeks a Vice President, Global Category Management – Electronics in Taiwan to shape enterprise-wide category strategy, strengthen supply resilience, and drive cost-competitive growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the global electronics category vision, strategy, governance, and alignment with enterprise priorities and product roadmaps
• Drive cost competitiveness, supply continuity, innovation, working capital efficiency, and risk reduction through robust category strategies
• Architect a resilient global supply base through strategic portfolio design, dual/multisourcing, capacity planning, and regional manufacturing strategies
• Lead strategic supplier partnerships, SRM standards, executive reviews, negotiations, technology alignment, and joint innovation initiatives
• Partner with Business Units, Engineering, R&D, and Product Management to embed ESI, value engineering, should-cost analysis, specification optimisation, and NPD/NPI support
• Monitor electronics and semiconductor markets, technology shifts, supply constraints, and geopolitical risks to deliver scenario planning and executive-ready insights

Candidate profile:

• 15+ years’ leadership experience in global procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, or engineering within electronics
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field required; MBA, MS Engineering, or equivalent preferred
• Executive ownership of complex global electronics categories, significant spend, strategic suppliers, and high-stakes procurement environments
• Strong expertise in electronics and semiconductor ecosystems, production processes, sourcing strategies, and market dynamics
• Proven ability to lead negotiations, contracting, pricing, supply agreements, LTAs, capacity reservations, IP/technology collaborations, and commercial risk terms
• Experience shaping enterprise procurement strategies across optical modules, active/passive optical components, automotive electronics, datacentre/network technologies, and leading global teams through supply disruptions and geopolitical shocks
