Finance Director

Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Director to lead the financial function for their operations in Taipei within a fast-paced and complex multinational consumer goods industry environment. This role is accountable for driving financial performance, ensuring robust governance and controls, and providing strategic financial leadership to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall finance function, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Controls.
• Provide strategic financial insight to support business planning, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
• Drive the annual budgeting, long-range planning, monthly forecasting, and performance tracking processes.
• Oversee statutory reporting and ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and corporate requirements (IFRS/local GAAP).
• Act as the primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and corporate headquarters.
• Monitor working capital and cash flow to ensure optimal financial health and risk management.
• Champion cost control initiatives, process efficiencies, and margin improvement projects.
• Lead digital finance transformation and system upgrades (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Build and develop a high-performing finance team; ensure robust succession planning and talent development.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Country General Manager and other functional leaders.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; CPA, CFA or MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles preferably in consumer goods industry or multinational companies.
• Proven track record in business partnering, financial strategy and operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS tax regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP Oracle) and financial modelling tools.
• Excellent leadership interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in local language is a plus.
