Operation Director

A leading energy storage manufacturer seeks an Operations Director in Taiwan to drive operations, strengthen supply chain excellence, and advance global battery manufacturing innovation.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing strategies for battery materials, equipment, automation, tooling, and services across Asian supply chains
• Build strategic supplier networks, owning qualification, negotiations, partnerships, and market intelligence across Asia
• Drive supplier performance across capacity, quality, cost, delivery, compliance, and long-term supply resilience
• Partner with U.S. teams on equipment selection, production lines, factory expansion, and manufacturing readiness
• Build local technical capabilities and lead supplier audits, prototypes, acceptance testing, validation, and issue resolution
• Own logistics, traceability, country-of-origin controls, regulatory compliance, and ESG initiatives to strengthen supply chain resilience

Candidate profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain within battery, electronics, or industrial equipment industries
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
• Strong expertise in Asian supplier management, procurement strategy, commercial negotiations, and supplier qualification
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment procurement, PPAP, ISO 9001, lithium-ion batteries, or advanced automation systems
• Strong project management, business judgement, risk assessment, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with experience building technical/sourcing teams and willingness to travel across Asia and occasionally the U.S
