Assistant Manager, ICS & Procurement

A leading automotive organisation in Taiwan seeks an Assistant Manager, Internal Control Systems and Procurement to strengthen governance, optimise procurement, and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments, internal control reviews, and annual audits to strengthen governance, identify key risks, and drive timely mitigation across the organisation
  • Partner with department heads, process owners, and senior leadership to embed internal control standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver strategic risk reporting
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement operations, ensuring all purchasing activities, contracts, and non-production material requests comply with global and local policies
  • Manage supplier governance by leading due diligence, compliance monitoring, performance evaluations, and procurement data analysis to optimise cost efficiency and supplier performance
  • Supervise and develop the procurement team, driving process improvements, operational excellence, and a high-performance, compliance-focused culture

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ experience in internal controls, procurement, or governance within a complex organisation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and experienced in systems or process implementation, preferably using lean or project-based methodologies
  • Exposure to multinational or complex business environments; automotive industry experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with excellent English communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise small teams, drive change initiatives, promote compliance, and deliver continuous process improvements
