Demand & Supply Planner / Assistant Manager
A global brand seeks a Demand and Supply Planner / Assistant Manager to optimise national demand, supply, and inventory in Taiwan while ensuring full customer fulfilment.
Key responsibilities:
As a Demand and Supply Planner / Assistant Manager, you will manage forecasting, supply, inventory, and S&OP to optimise stock and support product launches.
Demand Planning
- Analyse sales history, trends, and market data to build statistical forecasts and align/challenge the Sales Demand Plan with the Operations Demand Plan
- Partner with Sales to review performance, conduct root-cause analysis of forecast errors, and challenge assumptions behind demand inputs
- Align with Sales, Finance, and Operations on the consensus Demand Plan during monthly S&OP and update planning tools accordingly
- Build and maintain placement forecasts for visibility items, identifying risks and opportunities versus financial targets
- Deliver KPI targets including SKU/DC forecast accuracy and service levels
S&OP Planning
- Lead monthly S&OP process, defining governance, timelines, and meeting structure in line with global guidelines
- Convert consensus Demand Plan into a local Supply Plan, defining allocation, stock targets, and constraints
- Execute globally aligned S&OP processes within local planning operations
- Ensure timely completion of IBP system requirements each month
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Translate global supply plans into weekly execution plans, considering supply and logistics constraints
- Manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts while maintaining healthy product ageing; escalate risks with mitigation plans
- Coordinate inter-DC stock transfers to optimise service levels and cost efficiency
- Provide rolling 3PL volume forecasts for inbound, storage, and outbound cost planning
Portfolio Management
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Sales to conduct SKU portfolio reviews and manage complexity/cost optimisation
- Lead new product launch planning in line with global guidelines
- Manage SKU transitions and phase-outs within budget constraints
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you bring FMCG forecasting experience, strong analytical skills, SAP/ERP proficiency, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.
- 3–5 years’ experience in demand planning, ideally within FMCG
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesise data from multiple sources into actionable insights
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building abilities
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement focus
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
