What you'll do:

• Develop comprehensive test strategies based on detailed software requirements within an agile development environment, ensuring thorough coverage and alignment with project goals.
• Continuously improve and streamline the software quality assurance process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all testing activities.
• Write detailed test plans and cases that are closely aligned with both functional specifications and marketing requirements, supporting robust product validation.
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues throughout the testing lifecycle to guarantee optimal product delivery for customers.
• Manage meticulous documentation for bugs and other software issues encountered during testing, maintaining traceability from requirements to tests.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including software engineers, firmware specialists, and marketing professionals to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Design and execute regression tests with precision to validate product stability after changes or updates.
• Conduct compatibility testing across various platforms such as HDMI, video quality, audio quality, USB interfaces, Android (adb), Linux, macOS, and Windows systems.
• Utilise advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose root causes of defects efficiently and implement effective resolutions.
• Coordinate testing activities by estimating priorities, planning schedules, and ensuring seamless integration into the overall development lifecycle.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated understanding of software quality assurance testing methodologies and product release processes gained through hands-on experience in similar roles.
• Solid grasp of software engineering processes coupled with familiarity across the entire development lifecycle from conception through deployment.
• Proven ability to estimate priorities accurately while planning and coordinating complex testing activities within fast-moving projects.
• Competence in developing comprehensive test documentation that ensures traceability from initial requirements through final test outcomes.
• Expertise in designing regression tests that validate product stability following code changes or feature additions.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills enabling efficient diagnosis of root causes behind defects as well as prompt resolution implementation.
• Experience in firmware or operating system testing on devices such as webcams, drones, Android platforms or audio/visual systems.
• Proficiency in conducting compatibility tests involving HDMI interfaces, video/audio quality assessments, USB connectivity checks alongside debugging on Android (adb), Linux commands usage plus macOS/Windows environments.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance while maintaining high standards within a flexible yet fast-paced workplace setting.
• Strong communication skills paired with effective presentation abilities facilitating clear information exchange among diverse teams.
• Deep familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), Agile methodology plus debugging/tracing tools like adb or Linux commands.
• Experienced user of Python programming language along with tools such as TestRail for test management; JIRA for issue tracking; GIT for version control; Agile-based tools for workflow optimisation.
• Expertise across Functional Testing; Integration Testing; Regression Testing; Compatibility Testing; Localisation Testing.
