Test Team Lead (SW/HW)

A technology organisation in Taiwan seeks a Test Team Lead for Software and Hardware to lead testing, drive automation, and ensure quality for UEFI BIOS and BMC products.

Key responsibilities:

As a Test Team Lead, you will lead EDVT and SQA teams, coordinate testing activities, and drive automation and quality for UEFI BIOS and BMC products.

• Lead and manage the EDVT (hardware testing) and SQA (software testing) teams, serving as the main technical focal point for the testing function. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, PM) and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution
• Review product design specifications and lead the development and execution control of overall testing plans covering software, hardware, and firmware, including networking products such as UEFI BIOS and BMC
• Develop and review test cases, SOPs, and evaluate vendors’ test methodologies to ensure consistency in testing standards
• Assess and implement industry-standard testing tools and convert repetitive testing tasks into automated scripts to significantly improve testing efficiency

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring hardware automation and software QA experience, strong test planning skills, and the ability to drive automation and collaborate with teams and vendors.

• At least 5 years’ experience in hardware automation testing (Python)
• At least 3 years’ people management experience
• Strong experience in software QA and hardware validation for networking products (UEFI BIOS, BMC), including test planning and design review
• Skilled in creating test cases, SOPs, and automation solutions using scripting/programming (Python) to improve efficiency and workflow integration
• Effective collaborator and communicator with experience working across R&D, PM, and vendors, driving continuous improvement and team development
