[Industry Giant] Senior iOS Developer

A leading retail and digital services giant in Taiwan is seeking a Senior iOS App Engineer to join its core technology team.

This role focuses on the development, optimisation, and long-term maintenance of high-traffic consumer mobile applications that impact millions of users daily. Operating within a collaborative environment, the engineer will be responsible for implementing core functional requirements, conducting comprehensive testing, and supporting architectural design and refactoring. The ideal candidate is an experienced iOS professional with a deep understanding of Apple's ecosystem, a passion for high-quality code, and the drive to contribute to robust automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Application Development & Maintenance: Participate in the full lifecycle of iOS application development, taking ownership of implementing functional requirements and conducting rigorous testing
• Code Quality & Architecture: Write clean, consistent code utilising Swift and SwiftUI. You will collaborate on advanced program architecture design and actively participate in code refactoring to ensure long-term scalability
• Testing & Stability: Write comprehensive Unit Tests and basic UI tests to continuously improve application stability, performance, and overall maintainability
• Performance Optimisation: Debug issues, troubleshoot system bugs, and optimise performance across a diverse range of iOS devices to ensure an optimal user experience
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers (PMs) to thoroughly understand product requirements and execute seamless cross-departmental initiatives
• DevOps & CI/CD Engagement: Utilise Git, GitHub, or GitLab for version control and collaborative workflows, while learning and actively participating in CI/CD pipelines to advance automated testing and deployment
• Continuous Learning: Keep up to date with the latest iOS development trends, industry best practices, and official Apple guidelines, while gradually taking on increased independent development responsibilities

Candidate profile:

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of solid hands-on iOS application development experience is required
• Technical Expertise: Highly proficient in programming with Swift and SwiftUI. Strong familiarity with version control tools such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab, and experience with or exposure to writing Unit Tests/UI tests
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field. Candidates without a relevant degree will be considered if they possess an equivalent portfolio of successful iOS development projects or live applications
• Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-departmental communication skills, a strong team-oriented mindset, and a proactive attitude toward learning automated testing, deployment frameworks, and system refactoring
