[Industry Leader] Senior Android Developer

A titan in retail and digital services landscape in Taiwan, seeking a visionary Senior Android Engineer to lead their mobile development initiatives.

This individual will steer the technical direction for a high-traffic ecosystem encompassing e-commerce, digital payments, and social features.

Key responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Lead the Android team in architecting and maintaining high-performance applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• System Architecture: Drive multi-modular project design and maintenance to ensure scalability and code reusability across diverse service modules
• Quality & Automation: Establish and promote robust CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (Unit, UI, and Integration tests) to guarantee seamless delivery
• Product Evolution: Oversee the full feature lifecycle—from news browsing and shopping to complex payment and chat systems—while optimising for memory and UI fluidity
• Innovation: Actively explore and integrate AI technologies into daily development workflows to enhance efficiency and foster a culture of innovation
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (iOS, Backend, QA, and PM) in an Agile/Scrum environment to manage project risks and timelines

Candidate profile:

• Deep Expertise: A minimum of 8 years' professional Android development experience with a strong foundation in Computer Science or a related field
• Modern Tech Stack: Proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with hands-on experience in Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger/Koin) and specialised data storage (Room/DataStore)
• DevOps Mindset: Proven track record in managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) and navigating Play Store release management
• Security & Optimisation: A keen eye for performance tuning (profiling, startup time) and mobile security (ProGuard/R8, encryption)
• Leadership Traits: Strong experience in Code Reviews, technical mentorship, and a proactive approach to knowledge sharing and documentation
