A tech organisation seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance AWS & GCP cloud platforms, driving scalable Kubernetes-based deployment and delivery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the operation and continuous improvement of Kubernetes platforms across AWS EKS and GCP GKE, ensuring high availability, scalability, and resilient production workloads
  • Design and evolve end-to-end Kubernetes deployment architecture, including Helm-based releases, ingress routing, secrets management, autoscaling (HPA), namespaces, and persistent storage strategies
  • Lead cross-cloud infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform, including support for specialised systems such as GCE-hosted services (e.g., XMPP clusters)
  • Maintain and enhance GitOps-driven delivery pipelines via ArgoCD, driving improvements in deployment speed, reliability, and overall CI/CD maturity
  • Support production reliability through incident response, observability tuning, alert optimisation, and cross-cloud networking/edge services (VPC, CloudFront, Cloudflare Workers, API Gateway)

Candidate profile:

  • Proven experience operating and upgrading production Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS and/or GCP GKE, ensuring stability, scalability, and high availability
  • Strong hands-on expertise in core Kubernetes platform design, including Helm/manifests, Ingress, Secrets management, HPA, namespaces, and persistent volume (PVC) architecture
  • Solid background in cross-cloud infrastructure management using Terraform, including exposure to complex environments such as GCE-hosted clusters and equivalent setups
  • Practical experience maintaining and improving ArgoCD-based GitOps delivery pipelines, enhancing automation, deployment reliability, and continuous delivery workflows
  • Exposure to multi-cloud networking and production reliability engineering, including VPCs, CloudFront, Cloudflare Workers, API Gateways, incident response, alert optimisation, and collaborative engineering practices across domains
