【E-Commerce】Data Engineer Manager

An E-commerce organisation in Taiwan seeks a Data Engineer Manager to lead data platform strategy, mentor teams, and deliver scalable analytics and governance solutions that drive business insights.

Key responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer Manager, you will lead data architecture initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and deliver scalable, secure data platforms that enable reliable analytics and informed business decisions.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Data Engineering team through technical leadership, resource planning, and talent development
• Define and drive the vision, architecture, and roadmap for scalable, secure, and reliable data and analytics platforms
• Architect and optimize large-scale streaming and batch data pipelines supporting real-time reporting, user analytics, and business intelligence
• Partner with Product, Analytics, and Business teams to deliver scalable data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making
• Establish best practices for data governance, quality, access control, monitoring, and platform reliability to ensure trusted data assets

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring strong data engineering leadership, platform architecture expertise, and a business-driven mindset.

• Proven experience leading and scaling Data Engineering teams in complex, cross-functional environments
• Strong expertise in large-scale data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with streaming and batch processing technologies, including Kafka, Flink, or Spark
• Solid knowledge of modern data architecture, data modelling, and performance optimisation
• Experience in data governance, security, access control, and enterprise analytics solutions
• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms, containers, and modern data technologies
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with a business-focused mindset
