【E-Commerce】Senior Data Engineer (Lakehouse)

An organisation in Taiwan seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data lakehouse and cloud architectures supporting BI, analytics, and AI/ML.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build scalable lakehouse and hybrid cloud data platforms with batch and streaming pipelines to support BI, analytics, and AI/ML.

• Design and build enterprise-scale Data Lakehouse platforms and modern data architectures
• Develop and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time streaming systems
• Implement storage-compute separation and hybrid cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Build and maintain streaming data solutions using Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, or related technologies
• Design data models and layered data architectures to support analytics, AI/ML, and governance requirements
• Collaborate with Data, AI/ML, and business teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives
• Drive data governance, compliance, and technology evaluation initiatives including metadata, lineage, and security

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring experience in building enterprise data platforms with strong skills in ETL/ELT, big data, cloud, and data engineering best practices.

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, Big Data platforms, or Data Architecture
• Strong understanding of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and distributed data processing concepts
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, and orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Experience with big data and streaming technologies (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Trino)
• Familiar with cloud platforms and data services (AWS, GCP, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of data modelling and layered architectures (Kimball, Data Vault, Medallion)
