A leading semiconductor company is seeking a Data Engineering Lead in Taipei or Hsinchu. Lead a team to build scalable data platforms that support analytics and machine learning, delivering reliable, high-impact solutions in a technology-driven environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering collaboration, technical growth, and professional development
• Collaborate with product leaders and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable data architectures
• Design, build, and maintain robust pipelines and data models for data lakehouse and distributed environments supporting analytics and ML
• Establish and enforce standards for data quality, governance, security, and operational reliability across all platforms
• Evaluate emerging technologies, optimise workflows, integrate cloud services, and promote knowledge sharing to enhance platform efficiency

Candidate profile:

• Extensive experience in data engineering programming using Python, Scala, or Java to build reliable solutions and manage complex workflows
• Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and non-relational systems such as MongoDB or Cassandra
• Practical expertise with distributed processing frameworks including Apache Spark, Flink, or Hadoop and designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow
• Solid knowledge of modern data warehousing and lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, integrated with cloud services from AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong understanding of data modelling, architecture, governance, CI/CD workflow, and familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
