What you'll do:

  • Define and execute a clear technology vision that enhances the B2C insurance experience while aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the evolution of web and mobile digital platforms by driving cloud-native architecture and scalable system design.
  • Champion AI adoption throughout the organisation, from development processes to customer-facing experiences, fostering an innovation-driven engineering culture.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle including DevOps practices and CI/CD delivery pipelines to ensure efficient product delivery.
  • Ensure high system reliability, scalability, and performance across all customer-facing and internal platforms by implementing best-in-class engineering standards.
  • Lead infrastructure, application, and integration modernisation efforts to improve engineering efficiency and accelerate product delivery timelines.
  • Build and maintain a trusted data foundation supporting reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements while improving data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting performance.
  • Strengthen data governance, lineage, reconciliation processes to ensure audit readiness and integrity in decision-making.
  • Define cybersecurity strategy and own overall technology governance framework including IT governance, incident management, change control, and audit readiness.
  • Mentor technical leaders while establishing scalable architecture principles, disciplined product development practices, and fostering cross-functional collaboration with key business stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field; Master’s degree preferred for candidates seeking advanced leadership roles.
  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience ideally within insurance, fintech or financial services sectors where regulated environments are standard.
  • Proven track record in leading digital transformation initiatives including successful AI adoption projects that have delivered measurable business impact.
  • Experience managing technology teams within regulated industries is highly advantageous for ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Strong expertise in IT governance frameworks including cybersecurity strategies that protect sensitive information across complex infrastructures.
  • Excellent leadership skills demonstrated through stakeholder management abilities as well as mentoring teams via hands-on coaching methods focused on talent development.
  • Exceptional communication skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams while translating technical concepts into actionable business outcomes.
  • Ability to build trusted data foundations supporting analytics reporting accuracy timeliness regulatory requirements audit readiness decision-making integrity.
  • Experience overseeing software development lifecycles including DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines infrastructure application integration modernisation efforts.
