A global fintech firm seeks a Vice President of Software Engineering to build low-latency trading systems and drive engineering leadership.

Key responsibilities:

As Vice President of Software Engineering, you will lead low-latency trading system development and optimise crypto trading performance.

• Build and optimise low-latency trading systems for high-frequency trading environments
• Lead the development team, delegate tasks, and monitor project delivery
• Coordinate cross-functional projects to align technical and business requirements
• Maintain and enhance trading infrastructure while resolving technical issues
• Partner with quantitative researchers to implement and improve trading strategies
• Develop technical documentation and promote effective data management practices
• Respond quickly to challenges and perform effectively in high-pressure environments

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring strong experience in low-latency trading systems, Java development, team leadership, and crypto market technologies within high-frequency trading environments.

• 10+ years' experience developing low-latency, high-frequency trading systems, ideally within crypto environments
• Strong proficiency in Java with a track record of optimised and efficient coding
• Knowledge of crypto markets, trading instruments, and quantitative trading concepts
• Solid foundation in mathematics and statistics
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with Chinese proficiency considered an advantage
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business needs
• Additional strengths include team management experience, proficiency in C++ or Python, and knowledge of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency protocols
