A global semiconductor technology innovator seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team, drive cloud-native adoption, and shape scalable software used worldwide.
Key responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor a diverse team of software engineers to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet business objectives and exceed quality expectations
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices architectures while refactoring legacy applications to ensure seamless integration with modern platforms
- Oversee all aspects of task management including sprint planning, release scheduling, and deployment coordination to maintain efficient workflows
- Establish and uphold best practices in software development by implementing effective CI/CD pipelines and maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout the lifecycle
- Evaluate emerging technologies and introduce new tools or frameworks that enhance team capabilities and improve product performance
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product management, operations, and quality assurance to align technical solutions with strategic goals
- Foster an inclusive team culture that values open communication, mutual support, and continuous learning through regular feedback sessions and coaching
- Monitor project progress using data-driven metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure timely delivery of key milestones
- Champion DevOps methodologies by integrating automation into build, test, and deployment processes for increased reliability and efficiency
Candidate profile:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Manager leading teams of ten or more engineers through end-to-end software development cycles including testing, deployment, and ongoing operations
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architectures with hands-on experience designing microservices using containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes, Istio, Argo alongside databases like MongoDB or Redis
- Proven track record implementing DevOps practices including automated CI/CD pipelines that streamline build, test, release processes while upholding high quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering challenges through analytical thinking combined with practical technical leadership skills
- Exceptional people management abilities encompassing motivation techniques, coaching methods, performance evaluation strategies aimed at developing high-performing teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration across cross-functional groups including product managers, QA specialists, operations staff within multicultural environments
- Strong organisational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising attention to detail or delivery timelines
