A leading fintech organisation in Taiwan is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to define and execute its end-to-end technology strategy. You will drive digital transformation while ensuring strong regulatory compliance and scalable, secure platform development.
Key responsibilities:
As Chief Technology Officer, you will define and lead the organisation’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth, innovation priorities, and regulatory requirements.
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute a clear technology vision to enhance the B2C insurance experience, aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements
- Lead the evolution of web and mobile digital platforms while driving cloud-native architecture and scalable system design
- Champion AI adoption across the organisation, from development processes through to customer-facing experiences, while fostering a high-performance, innovation-driven engineering culture
Platform & Engineering Excellence
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including DevOps practices and CI/CD delivery pipelines
- Ensure high system reliability, scalability, and performance across all customer-facing and internal platforms
- Lead infrastructure, application, and integration modernisation to improve engineering efficiency and product delivery
Data & Analytics Governance
- Build and maintain a trusted data foundation to support reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements
- Improve data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting performance to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Strengthen data governance, lineage, and reconciliation to ensure audit readiness and decision-making integrity
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Define and own cybersecurity strategy and overall technology governance framework
- Embed IT governance, incident management, change control, and audit readiness into engineering practices
- Enhance identity management, infrastructure security, and proactive threat monitoring capabilities
Team and Culture
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams (FE, BE, QA, SRE, IS, and Data) to ensure stability, availability, and continuity
- Establish engineering standards, scalable architecture principles, and disciplined product development practices
- Mentor technical leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration with key business stakeholders
Candidate profile:
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced technology leader with a strong background in regulated industries and large-scale digital transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, ideally within insurance, fintech, or financial services
- Proven track record in leading digital transformation and AI adoption initiatives
- Experience managing technology teams within regulated environments is highly advantageous
- Strong expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage stakeholders, mentor teams, and foster talent development through hands-on, people-focused coaching
