[Pet Tech] Sr. Backend Developer

Key responsibilities:

In this role, you won't just write code; you will evaluate trade-offs and shape the architectural future of the platform. Your responsibilities include:

• Architectural Design: Design backend systems using "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) principles to ensure maintainability and scalability
• Database Management: Lead Database Schema Design to support complex data structures
• Quality Engineering: Write clean, efficient, and highly maintainable code while conducting thorough Code Reviews
• System Optimisation: Enhance and optimise WordPress architectures and develop robust internal systems
• Business Impact: Implement flexible technical solutions to achieve evolving business goals

Candidate profile:

Core Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years in DevOps or Backend development
• Framework Mastery: Proficiency in at least one Server-side framework (e.g., Egg.js, Rails, Laravel) with a deep understanding of its underlying design patterns
• Language Versatility: Strong command of at least one backend language: PHP, Golang, or Node.js (TypeScript)
• Technical Foundations: Familiarity with Linux environments, RESTful API design, and Database principles (MySQL, MongoDB, or Postgres)
• Mindset: A proactive learner who stays ahead of emerging technology trends

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Proficiency in automated testing (Unit/Integration Testing)
• Experience with Docker, K8s, and building CI/CD pipelines
• Proven track record in designing Scalable Systems
