A leading fintech organisation in Taipei is seeking a Backend Manager specialising in Golang to lead backend engineering initiatives and drive scalable digital product development.

Key responsibilities:

You will lead backend engineering operations, mentor technical teams, and deliver scalable fintech solutions while promoting collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Lead backend engineers through hiring, mentoring, training, task coordination, and hands-on development while supporting team growth and performance
• Shape technical architecture and design scalable, high-performance, and verifiable backend solutions aligned with business requirements
• Oversee large-scale distributed systems and take ownership of critical backend components across multiple domains
• Drive system scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance optimisation across backend infrastructure and services
• Champion engineering best practices by delivering clean, efficient code and leading thorough code review processes
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support development standards and operational excellence
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and promote innovation through experimentation with AI-driven development tools and practices

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate will bring strong backend engineering expertise, proven leadership experience, and advanced knowledge of scalable distributed systems within cloud-native environments.

• Possess 6+ years of software development experience, including strong expertise in web services, RESTful APIs, and backend engineering
• Bring at least 2 years of experience in system or application architecture and technical leadership roles
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Golang and gRPC, with Python experience considered an advantage
• Have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, SQS, and large-scale data pipelines
• Show strong expertise in microservices, distributed systems, cloud computing, and scalable system architecture
• Be a continuous learner with a passion for mentoring, collaboration, AI-driven development tools, and knowledge sharing
• Thrive in fast-paced environments with strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, teamwork, and a results-oriented mindset
