[Digital Transformation] Data Scientist

Save job

On behalf of our client—a prominent Taiwan-headquartered global conglomerate in industrial manufacturing, energy, and sustainable materials—we are seeking a versatile Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist to join their Group. The team serves as the strategic digital engine driving group-wide enterprise transformation across operations in Taiwan, Greater China (20+ manufacturing sites), and Europe.

What you’ll do

  • Data Platform & Middle-Office Construction: Architect, integrate, and streamline enterprise data pipelines to build scalable data platforms and central data hubs, connecting disparate manufacturing and OT systems across 20+ plants.

  • Hybrid Modeling & End-to-End Delivery: Turn real-world plant operations and manufacturing problems into practical data science solutions (prediction, anomaly detection, optimization, and decision support), driving models from problem definition to site deployment and post-launch monitoring.

  • Cross-Entity & Global Collaboration: Serve as the technical bridge between business units, plant engineers, PMs, internal IT/AI subsidiaries, and external training partners.

  • International Stakeholder Engagement & Presenting: Deliver structured technical presentations and lead discussions in business English during cross-border meetings and occasional overseas site visits (e.g., Europe, approximately once a year).

  • Industrial Data Governance: Work with raw, noisy, or lower-maturity data environments typical of traditional manufacturing settings, implementing pragmatic data cleaning, modeling, and reproducibility standards.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience & Technical Skillset:

    • 3–8 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics engineering, or data platform integration.

    • Strong technical proficiency in Python, SQL, and core machine learning/data pipeline toolchains (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, ETL workflows).

    • Hands-on experience or strong adaptability in handling messy, real-world industrial/IoT/OT data (ability to thrive in manufacturing environments distinct from highly standardized finance/tech data structures).

  • Communication & English Fluency: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills—capable of conducting meetings, presenting technical solutions, and facilitating alignment with international stakeholders.

  • Agility & Soft Skills: Proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with plant teams, PMs, and executive leadership in a fast-paced transformation environment.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantitative disciplines (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or Applied Mathematics).

  • Travel Willingness: Open to occasional international business travel (e.g., European plant visits around once per year).

What sets this company apart

  • Direct Transformation Impact: Play a pivotal role in shaping the group's central data platform (Data Middle-Office) and driving digital transformation across 20+ global manufacturing sites.

  • Global Exposure & European Travel: Collaborate with diverse regional teams across Greater China, Southeast Asia, and Europe, with opportunities for overseas business trips.

  • Competitive Total Compensation Package: Competitive fixed annual salary paired with structured performance bonuses (13 months guaranteed base + 1–3 months performance bonus) and clear long-term career growth within a top-tier industrial enterprise.

What’s next

If you are a Data Scientist who excels in real-world industrial data environments, possesses strong English presentation skills, and wants to drive cross-border enterprise transformation, we would love to connect. Please submit your updated English CV to our recruitment team to initiate a confidential discussion regarding this role.
