What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices for AI applications using FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy to ensure robust performance and scalability.
• Integrate OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face models, and internal LLM inference workflows to build flexible pipelines capable of supporting diverse AI solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to deploy AI models efficiently while optimising system performance for seamless user experiences.
• Build containerised deployment workflows utilising Docker and Kubernetes, enabling DevOps automation as well as multi-environment portability across platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Terraform to facilitate reliable application deployment on cloud platforms including GCP and AWS.
• Design highly available RESTful APIs alongside event-driven architectures that underpin scalable external-facing services for enterprise clients.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to ensure smooth integration between technical capabilities and evolving user requirements.
• Support the implementation of best practices in observability, monitoring, incident management systems, API performance optimisation, model versioning, and feedback loop design.
• Contribute to the development of AI-powered products within SaaS environments by designing inference feedback loops and analysing user behaviour analytics.
• Participate in ongoing knowledge sharing sessions with colleagues to foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or related field is required for foundational understanding.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic is essential for developing robust microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience deploying containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments is necessary for operational excellence.
• Proven ability integrating OpenAI APIs or Hugging Face models along with deep understanding of end-to-end LLM inference pipeline is vital for success.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or Terraform as well as cloud deployment on GCP or AWS is important for maintaining CI/CD workflows.
• Demonstrated experience building scalable microservices architectures with strong knowledge of RESTful API design or event-driven systems is expected.
• Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow or Weights & Biases for experiment tracking or model lifecycle management is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Background developing AI-powered products within SaaS environments including inference feedback loop design or user behaviour analytics would be advantageous.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI solutions for regulated industries such as LegalTech, Compliance Healthcare or Financial Services is considered a plus.
• Expertise in API performance optimisation model versioning observability monitoring incident management systems workflow automation or enterprise-grade product development would further strengthen your candidacy.
